Dawn

A flashback.
And I shift through the various stages of my incomplete life.
An ugly toddler,
A solitary child,
And an undesirable teenager.
Rejection defines her.

She’s already died so many times,
But she still survives.
The hunger in her is cold and ruthless.
A dying child in her resides.
To challenge destiny and the ways of god,
To prove that she exists.
A person and not just a mere shadow.
A leader and not a follower.

Years dash past,
And the present looks brighter.
A bean of light slowly emerges from the darkness.
Illuminating the path to success.
Nurturing the seeds of a new destiny.
Reviewing my future,
And fostering the birth of a fresh fate and fortune.

Silently I peek out of my window,
And glance up with hope.
The vast sky looks at me.
I see the night slowly fading away,
The sun rises leisurely,
A new day has begun.

Hi I just visited your blog the poems are ossam and If you have wrote those then I have to admit a 17 year old girl with thoughts like this is unusual. I am stumped and out of words the way you jotted down the words with feelings is highly appreciated. I m impressed and hope you continue with this all the best for your future…….
